Victoria Espley

WSF MAT Chief Financial Officer and Warwick Schools Foundation Bursar

Mrs Victoria Espley MA (Cantab) is the Trust’s Chief Financial Officer and Foundation Bursar at Warwick Schools Foundation. She has a BA in Economics and Finance and a Graduate Diploma in Law. Her professional qualifications include a Certificate in School Business Management from the National College of School Leadership and an Advanced Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute. 

 

After university Victoria worked in Financial Services, predominately based in the City, leading a range of diverse teams across the globe. As part of her career she spent time at GE Capital where she focused on organisational improvement using Six Sigma methodology. Helping organisations within the commercial and not-for-profit sectors to function effectively has been a key focus for her. 

 

Victoria has held a number of voluntary roles within the education sector. She is currently Chair of Local Governing Body at North Oxfordshire Academy, Banbury. She has previously served as Chair of Local Governing Body at Coleridge Community College, Cambridge; Chair of Governors at St Luke’s School Cambridge; Chair of Trustees at Ace Nursery School, Cambridge and Vice Chair of Governors at St Mary’s School, Cambridge. She is a Quondam Fellow at Hughes Hall in the University of Cambridge. 

 

Inspired by her voluntary roles within educational charities, she moved into the education sector in 2010 becoming Bursar at Westcott House and then Hughes Hall, Cambridge before joining Warwick Schools Foundation in 2021. Whilst at Cambridge, Victoria was Chair of the Bursars’ Committee General Purchasing Committee which oversaw procurement across the Cambridge Colleges. She was also a Director of Meet Cambridge, the venue-finding service owned and managed by Cambridge Colleges and of the non-executive directors’ climate change forum Chapter Zero. Victoria is currently a Director of the Independent Schools Mutual insurance company and of the Institute of Development professionals in Education.  She is also a trustee of the Harpur Trust.
