Collaboration
The Warwick Schools Foundation Multi Academy Trust (WSF MAT) represents an important milestone in the relationship between the state and independent education sectors in our local area. The Trust acts to strengthen the existing relationships between Warwick Schools Foundation and Evergreen School, Clapham Terrace Community Primary School and Nursery, and Westgate Primary School, and between the Trust schools themselves.

These relationships have been developed over several years, and the schools have proudly worked together on a number of mutually beneficial initiatives and projects. In recent times, this has included:

A historic evening of music at Butterworth Hall

On Thursday, 28 November, Butterworth Hall provided the backdrop for an exceptional evening of music at our Foundation Gala Concert.

The evening marked the first time that we welcomed pupils from each of the MAT schools for a collaborative performance, with pupils from Clapham Terrace, Evergreen, and Westgate joining the Foundation for this wonderful occasion.

Along with performances from Foundation pupils ranging from Year 3 through to Upper Sixth, a massed choir from the Foundation and the MAT schools produced an excellent performance of Christopher Tin’s Calling All Dawns, whilst we were also delighted to hear a selection of songs from the choir of Evergreen School.

Music always proves to be a way of connecting people, and that was never more evident than on the evening, with musicians of all ages sharing their passion for the power of music.

Westgate String Project

Warwick Schools Foundation and Westgate Primary School have enjoyed working together on the Westgate String Project in recent times. As part of the project, children from Warwick Preparatory School work with Year 3 children at Westgate School to teach violin sessions – empowering Foundation pupils to become good citizens while enabling Westgate pupils to foster a love of music-making – with an end of term concert supported by Foundation staff.
Sensory Art Installation

In October 2024, a sensory art installation – designed to represent and celebrate neurodiversity – was unveiled by Warwick Schools Foundation on behalf of Evergreen School.
The sculpture, called ‘Summer Spot’, was designed by local artist Julia Snowdin. Snowdin worked closely with children from four classes across both campuses at Evergreen School to identify the colours, shapes, and textures which most attracted the students’ attention. The installation is immersive, encourages play, and offers sensory benefits.
As part of the ongoing relationship between Warwick Schools Foundation and Evergreen School, the Foundation agreed to look after the installation until Evergreen’s new campus is built.
The sculpture acts as a reminder of the importance of the creative arts. Both Evergreen School and Warwick Schools Foundation echo this belief, especially in an educational context - whether that be teaching through Art, Dance, or Music.
Ahead of the unveiling, Nick Evans, Executive Headteacher at Evergreen School, said, "We are delighted that Warwick Schools Foundation are hosting this magnificent piece of artwork on behalf of Evergreen School, until our new Campus is built. Originally, this piece was displayed in Jephson Gardens and is designed by local artist Julia, who kindly donated it to Evergreen School. This piece of art represents and celebrates neurodiversity and is a commitment to supporting people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. It also celebrates the power of community, and we feel very fortunate to have such committed partners."
Richard Nicholson, Principal of Warwick Schools Foundation, said, “We are proud to host the unveiling of this sensory art installation as part of our ongoing relationship with Evergreen School. Certainly, Neurodiversity is something that should be both acknowledged and celebrated – not only within the education sector, but across society more widely. This sculpture is a thoughtful and meaningful way of doing just that.”
Holiday Support at Evergreen School

During the school holidays, student teachers training at the Foundation work in and with Evergreen School to enhance their SEND practice, whilst senior pupils from the Foundation visit Evergreen to support their pupils’ learning, including at a Holiday Club.
At both student and staff levels, this partnership enables our communities to collaborate and share perspectives, which enhances teaching and learning on both sides of the relationship.
Beyond the immediate term, the partnership acts to extend the schools’ close relationship and enhance the pupil experience for all – both Foundation and Evergreen pupils, as well as generations of pupils to come.
