Richard Hales

Richard Hales has been involved within the academies sector for over 6 years now and have worked closely with his previous trust around the importance of marketing and communications, with internal and external partners. This involved working with various agencies and partners to ensure a consistent message across the trust.

He has been the Vice Chair of a MAT and has also been the Chair of the Finance committee during that period, and brings a variety of skills to the new MAT including working with senior officers in producing, implementing and monitoring yearly budgets, monitoring actual against these budgets on a monthly basis and ensuring that all accounts are submitted to relevant partners ahead of time frames. He has also worked on strategies for maximising investments and commercial returns for the MAT, including the creation of the MATS own sports company, which works with local businesses and the community.

He is currently Vice Chair of Governors Evergreen School.
