Kevin Griffiths

Trustee

Kevin Griffiths is a highly experienced teacher, headteacher and educational consultant, now retired, with over 46 years of experience predominately with pupils having severe and complex learning difficulties.

 

For 26 years Kevin was the headteacher of an Ofsted ‘outstanding’ all age special school in Oxfordshire and subsequently worked as a school improvement adviser for Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Coventry City. Kevin has also led on a number of county council improvement initiatives including a review of special school funding, multi-agency support services and post 16 provision.

 

Nationally, Kevin was a member of the Teachers TV advisory panel with his school featuring in a range of programmes on ICT, governance and inclusion. Kevin has also been a contributor to various leadership programmes and curriculum publications including the NPQH, NCSL and Croner.

 

After 8 years, Kevin recently stepped down as chair of governors at a local primary school. He continues to be a passionate advocate for pupils with special educational needs and believes he has the skills, knowledge and experience to contribute further in developing excellent inclusive educational provision for all in the local community.
